DIY: Seed bombs

Seed bombs are little plant grenades that you can throw into abandoned lots, ditches, or other uninhabited and ugly places, to spruce those places up a bit. Made out of dirt, clay, and seeds, these bombs “explode” very, very slowly. The result isn’t destruction, but instead, beautiful flowers.

Back to School with Cameron

Going back to school is often dreaded by students and applauded by parents. However, things in the Smith household are a little different than most. In this house, both parent and student go back to school together, because one of Cameron Smith’s moms is a psychologist for the Milwaukee Public Schools. A psychologist who, from time to time, works at the schools attended by her two children, Cameron, 17, and Brooke, 10.

“It’s totally abandoned,” Leroy said. “No one’s used it for months.”

If a building has already been vandalized and broken into, does that mean it’s fair game for a hangout? Damian has to decide either to follow his friends Leroy and Pierre down to the abandoned church, or to go along with Kenji and find something better to do.
