When I was little my moms made all my play dates. Now I’m eight and sometimes I’ll want to spend the afternoon reading, or playing with my dolls, or maybe I’d told a friend at school that we could hang out, and then it turns out they’ve already said someone can come over. If I get mad my mom says “be flexible” or “at least you’re getting to play.” How do I make her understand?
