Book Release Party Photos!

What’s better than reading a good book? A party to celebrate a good book! On October 24, 2009, Rainbow Rumpus threw a book release party for our new printable picture books. We celebrated the first two titles released: The Boy Who Captured the Moon by Patt Ligman and Ta-Cumba Goes by Himself by Mike Huber. True Colors Bookstore in Minneapolis hosted and lent a helping hand for our gathering.

Kids who attended were able to color their own picture books while listening to the authors read the stories. Everyone also enjoyed homemade cookies, face painting, and original music by Mike Huber and Elizabeth Giffin. It was a great success, and Rainbow Rumpus readers, editors, board members, and families had fun celebrating and making friends. We’re excited that many more printable titles will soon be released on Rainbow Rumpus for you to read. Be sure to keep a look out! Until then, check out all the cool pictures we took, and print out a book of your own.
